Review of Joshua Busch’s ‘The Little Tagpole (Tadpole)’

August 22, 2008 by authoranastasia

BOOK TITLE:  The Little Tagpole (Tadpole)

AUTHOR:  Joshua Smith

REVIEWER:  Anastasia Cassella-Young

‘The Little Tagpole (Tadpole)’ by Joshua Smith is a very delightful short story of a tadpole turning into a frog. It is age appropriate for this author and can be read to toddlers of all ages.  The pictures are simplistic yet age appropriate as well.  Joshua does his best to write all by himself and to phonetically spell his own words out.  He is truly a gifted author at his age of 8 yrs. old.

Review of Joshua Busch’s Children’s Books! A Young and Up Coming Author at Age 8!

August 22, 2008 by authoranastasia

Joshua Busch has written many, many children’s books at his tender age of 8. I find the artistry and the verbiage used by this “author” to be fascinating because of his age.  His father, Craig Smith, has done everything he can to encourage his son to continue to write.

The topics Joshua picks are straight from his life and he explains them in very plain English which will allow any young child or toddler to appreciate his drawings and the stories put forth.

I think that the encouragement he receives is wonderful and I think that all authors ought to beware of this young author who is going to take the writing world by storm now and in the near future!

Kudos young Joshua.  I hope to see a lot more work done by you. I enjoyed reviewing all of your books that I have reviewed.  Keep up the good work young man.

Review of Joshua Busch’s ‘The Many Adventures of Frog’

August 22, 2008 by authoranastasia

BOOK TITLE:  The Many Adventures of Frog

AUTHOR:  Joshua Smith

REVIEWER:  Anastasia Cassella-Young

‘The Many Adventures of Frog’ written by 8 yr. old Joshua Smith is penned in an 8 yr. olds frame of mind.  For such a young man Joshua exudes artistic abilities and author type qualities.  These stories are perfect for the very young to have read to them.  Toddlers and up will enjoy the brief but careful thoughts put into these stories.  The book is formed with simplistic drawing and penmanship.

Review of Matthew Bellingham’s ‘Vampire City and Tales from the Shadows’

August 22, 2008 by authoranastasia

BOOK TITLE:  Vampire City and Tales from the Shadows

AUTHOR:  Matthew Bellingham

REVIEWER:  Anastasia Cassella-Young

Vampire City and Tales from the Shadows’ by Matthew Bellingham is full of plenty of action and adventure.  If you are into Vampires, Zombies, guns and other wild critters of the “shadows” then this is the book for you. Bellingham doesn’t hold back on the descriptive nature of his stories.  I wouldn’t read this and then be alone!  Kudos to author Matthew Bellingham for bringing to life that of the undead and scary nature!

Review of Behcet Kaya’s ‘Voice of Conscience’

August 22, 2008 by authoranastasia

BOOK TITLE:  Voice of Conscience

AUTHOR:  Behcet Kaya

REVIEWER:  Anastasia Cassella-Young

‘Voice of Conscience’ by author Behcet Kaya is a heavy on the heart tale of a young man destined to fight his enemies or those that he thinks are his enemies.  In reading ‘Voice of Conscience’ you find that a young man’s “conscience” changes his lifestyle drastically and you tour from Turkey to Istanbul to America during this adventure.  I found this to be a highly stimulating read and you are forever on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next to this poor young man again.  Behcet Kaya has done an outstanding job in attracting you to his fictional story with grief, losses, love and family all intertwined in one fantastic job!
